Guide
Contractor compliance software, local content, and EHS
How local content compliance software differs from a generic EHS suite, without a certification claim.
What the official sources say
Searches for local content compliance software, EHS software, and contractor compliance usually mix three jobs: the Secretariat's plans and half-yearly report, the HSE evidence a buyer requests, and a company's own incident system. PetroMetric is proposed for the first two as an evidence register, with Guyana duties and US-company controls kept apart. It is not proposed as a live safety system.
Generic EHS tools rarely know that a half-yearly local-content report is due on or before 30 July or 30 January, subject to the guideline's weekend and bank-holiday rule, or that a commercial Stabroek profile is not the statutory register. A Guyana-specific register should show the source, the version, and the gap. It should not print a compliance badge.
Checklist
- Map each buyer request to a statute, a permit, a contract, or an internal procedure.
- Keep local-content actuals next to the approved plan.
- Keep HSE files out of the local-content total.
- Show missing evidence as missing.
- Refuse any screen that says "certified compliant".
Questions people ask
Is PetroMetric EHS software?
It organises HSE evidence beside other obligations. It does not replace an engineering safety system, medical records, or emergency dispatch.
Will it make a contractor locally content compliant?
No. It keeps the plan, the actuals, and the evidence reviewable. Compliance is a legal conclusion for a qualified person, not a software status.
Does the product have a price list?
